let’s do the caveats in advance: 1. extended voting matchup polls are nearly meaningless at this point. 2. the results below may not reflect the feedback to obama’s race speech. but it does sound that the jeremiah wright flap has badly pang barack obama…for the consequence. here’s ohio. here’s missouri, where obama beat clinton…and clinton v. mccain these days. and, most marvellous, look at massachusetts. as i said, these numbers aren’t cast in stone. there may be a major obama revival as news of his three substantive speeches this week begins to leach in the universal public. but it seems clear that the jeremiah wright spat is a big refractory for the obama contest.
