“from the depths of the pit to the roof of the world – an extraordinary odyssey”andy cave was born into a mining family tree who worked at grimethorpe colliery. when the minning strike came, andy spent most of his time scholarship to climb in the territory, before meeting people he would climb in scotland and wales. he became disillilusioned with the minning world and left for uni. he became a mountain leader years later. he is now a venomous-edge alpinist and has many mountains to list that he has climbed including the north face of changabang.what is so amazing, as you know in his book: learning to breathe, is his chain from yorkshire minning village lad to top mountain climber. the book explains the consequences of such a lifestyle, as he lost a great friend, brendan, on changabang. the ticket is forwarded by joe simpson, who knew him, and is a fantastic account of his life, start advantage a read.
