Renaissance Vancouver Hotel – The Place To Stay in Vancouver

Dsc_0976 I got up early excited for the train ride, and took this shot from my Renaissance Hotel room.

Houston crane

The room has large windows that open from a balcony, which is pretty spectacular.

Clean, fresh air pours in.

IDsc_0958 spoke to the travel manager here, a refreshing young woman named Mandy, who said that the fact this hotel has been around with older architecture means there’s large windows that open all the way, providing a lot of fresh air and natural air conditioning.

For me, this is a huge plus.

Newer hotels mostly have windows that only open a crack.

There is no shortage of new buildings in Vancouver, which has got to be the construction capital of the western world right now.

The king size Serta bed in my room with down feather pillows was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. And the gym downstairs, had the most weights of any hotel I’ve stayed in. (I like weight-lifting)

Soon Renaissance Vancouver Hotel will go through spectacular renovations, including marble bathrooms, flat screen tvs, and all new decor with refreshing colors.

I’m a Marriott member, and The Renaissance, as of a few years ago, became part of the same family. I have to say, despite staying in a trendy Yale district boutique hotel prior to the Renaissance, I prefer the consistency and comfort of this brand.

And the view.

Spectacular.

For that, I think I got lucky.

See you in Whistler! Got to go!
